Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Daegu

The Archdiocese of Daegu (Latin: Archidioecesis Taeguensis, kor. 천주교 대구 대교구 ) is located in South Korea Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Daegu.

History

The Archdiocese of Daegu was established on April 8, 1911 by Pope Pius X. territorial concessions from the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Vicariate Taiku Korea. The Apostolic Vicariate of Taiku was born on March 10, 1962 by Pope John XXIII. raised to an archbishopric and renamed in Daegu archdiocese. On 29 May 1969, the Archdiocese of Daegu was part of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Andong.
