Roman Catholic Diocese of Cheongju
The Diocese of Cheongju (Latin: Dioecesis Cheongiuensis, kor. 천주교 청주 교구 ) is located in South Korea, Roman Catholic diocese based in Cheongju.
History
The Diocese of Cheongju was posted on June 23, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution Sacro suadente built out of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate of Seoul as Apostolic Vicariate of Cheongju. On March 10, 1962, the Apostolic Vicariate of Cheongju was by Pope John XXIII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Fertile Gospel to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Daegu is a suffragan.
