Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guiyang

The Archdiocese of Guiyang (Latin: Archidioecesis Coeiiamensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic archdiocese headquartered in Guiyang.

History

The Archdiocese of Guiyang was posted on October 15, 1696 by Pope Innocent XII. built with the Apostolic Constitution E sublimi Sedis of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Fujian as Apostolic Vicariate of Guizhou. 1715 Apostolic Vicariate of Guizhou was dissolved and the area was annexed to the Vicariate Apostolic of Sichuan.

On March 27, 1846 Apostolic Vicariate of Guizhou was by Pope Gregory XVI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ex debito from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Sichuan again. The Apostolic Vicariate of Guizhou was renamed on December 3, 1924 in Apostolic Vicariate of Guiyang. On February 16, 1922, the Apostolic Vicariate of Guiyang were parts of its territory from establishing the Apostolic Vicariate Anlong. A further transfer of territory took place on March 23, 1932 establishing the mission sui juris Shiqian.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Guiyang was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the archbishopric.
