The Archdiocese of La Paz (Latin: Archidioecesis Pacensis in Bolivia) is a location in Bolivia Roman Catholic archdiocese based in La Paz

History

The Diocese of La Paz is built of cessions of territory of the Diocese of La Plata o Charcas on July 4, 1605. It was the Archdiocese of Sucre is a suffragan. On June 18, 1943, the Diocese of La Paz was by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Ad Spirituale Bonum to an archbishopric. The Archdiocese had in its history several times parts of its territory from the creation of new dioceses.
