The Archdiocese of Medellín (Latin: Archidioecesis Medellensis, Spanish: Arquidiócesis de Medellín ) is a diocese located in Colombia of the Roman Catholic church located in Medellin.

History

Today's Archbishopric was on February 14, 1868 by Pope Pius IX. established from the diocese Antioquía out under the name Medellensis. First bishop was Valerio Antonio Ximenes. By Pope Leo XIII. takes place on 24 February 1902, the survey on its own archbishop.
