Roman Catholic Diocese of Amparo

The Diocese of Amparo (Latin: Dioecesis Amparensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Amparo in the state of São Paulo.

History

The Diocese of Amparo was established on 23 December 1997 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ecclesiae Universae of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Campinas and of the Diocese of Limeira. It was the Archdiocese of Campinas is a suffragan.
