Roman Catholic Diocese of Baoding

The diocese of Baoding (Latin: Dioecesis Paotimensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Baoding.

History

The diocese of Baoding was established as Apostolic Vicariate of Central Chi -Li on February 14, 1910 by Pope Pius X with the Apostolic Constitution Nobis in sublimi of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Chi -li. The Apostolic Vicariate of Central Chi -Li announced on April 15, 1924, parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Prefecture Lixian. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate of Central Chi -Li was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Baoding. The Apostolic Vicariate of Baoding announced on May 25, 1929 parts of its territory establishing the mission sui juris from Yixian.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Baoding was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Beijing is a suffragan.
