Roman Catholic Diocese of Barreiras
The diocese Barreiras (Latin: Dioecesis Barreriensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Barreiras in the state of Bahia.
History
The diocese Barreiras was built on 21 May 1979, Pope John Paul II made cessions of territory of the Diocese of Barra and the Archdiocese of São Salvador da Bahia is a suffragan. First bishop was Ricardo José Weberberger OSB. On 16 January 2002 the diocese was Barreiras the Archdiocese of Feira de Santana is a suffragan.
