The Diocese of Ciudad Altamirano (Latin: Dioecesis Civitatis Altamirensis, Spanish: Ciudad de diócesis Altamirano ) is a location in Mexico Roman Catholic diocese based in Ciudad Altamirano.

History

The Diocese of Ciudad Altamirano was born on October 27, 1964 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Popolo Dei from annexations of the dioceses Acapulco, Chilapa, Tacámbaro and Toluca.

On October 11, 1985, the Diocese of Ciudad Altamirano were parts of its territory from the foundation of the built with the Apostolic Constitution Cum sample diocese of Ciudad Lázaro Cárdenas.

The Diocese of Ciudad Altamirano is the Archdiocese of Acapulco is a suffragan.
