Roman Catholic Diocese of Ganzhou

The Diocese of Ganzhou (Latin: Dioecesis Canceuvensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Ganzhou in the People's Republic of China.

History

Pope Benedict XV. founded the Apostolic Vicariate Kanchow on August 25, 1920 from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Südjiangxi.

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised on April 11, 1946 Diocese. The patriotic bishop Chen Duqing not recognized by the Holy See, who died in 1990, was one of the first Chinese bishops who were ordained without the permission of Rome in 1957.
