Roman Catholic Diocese of Georgetown

The Diocese of Georgetown (Latin: Dioecesis Georgiopolitana ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Georgetown, Guyana.

Pope Gregory XVI. founded on 12 April 1837 Apostolic Vicariate of British Guiana from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Port of Spain and placed it on April 30, 1850 this is a suffragan. It was raised on 29 February 1956 to the Diocese of Georgetown.
