Roman Catholic Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle

The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle (Latin: Dioecesis Hagulstadensis et Novacastrensis ) is a facility located in the United Kingdom, Roman Catholic diocese based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

History

The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle was on January 30, 1688, Pope Innocent XI. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate of England established as Apostolic Vicariate of Northern District. The Apostolic Vicariate of Northern District was from 1840 parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Vicariate District Lancashire and Yorkshire District.
