Roman Catholic Diocese of Jericó

The diocese Jericó (Latin: Dioecesis Iericoënsis, Spanish: diócesis de Jericó ) is a location in Columbia Roman Catholic diocese based in Jericó.

History

A first diocese Jericó was built from parts of Metropolitanerzbistums Medellín on 29 January 1915. The then Bishop of Antioquía, Maximiliano Crespo Rivera, served as apostolic administrator of the diocese until it was incorporated on February 5, 1917, the diocese Antioquía to the diocese Antioquía - Jericó.

The present diocese Jericó was taken on July 4, 1941 as a result of the division of the diocese Antioquía - Jericó and was again the Metropolitanerzbistums Medellín is a suffragan.
