Roman Catholic Diocese of Jiangmen

The Diocese of Jiangmen (Latin: Dioecesis Chiammenensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Jiangmen.

History

The Diocese of Jiangmen was posted on January 31, 1924 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ut aucto of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Prefecture Shantou as Jiangmen. On February 3, 1927, the Apostolic Prefecture of Jiangmen was by Pius XI. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangmen was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Canton is a suffragan.
