Roman Catholic Diocese of Kidapawan
The Diocese of Kidapawan (Latin: Dioecesis Kidapavanensis ) is a location in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Kidapawan City.
History
The Diocese of Kidapawan was posted on June 12, 1976 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Quas Venerable out of territory of Territorialprälatur Cotabato as Territorialprälatur Kidapawan. The Territorialprälatur Kidapawan became the Archdiocese of Davao assumed as suffragan. On November 5, 1979, the Territorialprälatur Kidapawan became the Archdiocese of Cotabato assumed as suffragan. The Territorialprälatur Kidapawan was collected on 15 November 1982, Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Decessores to the diocese.
The Diocese of Kidapawan includes nine municipalities in the province of Cotabato, two municipalities in the province of Maguindanao and a municipality in the province of Sultan Kudarat.
