Roman Catholic Diocese of Leopoldina

The diocese Leopoldina (Latin: Dioecesis Leopoldinensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Leopoldina in the state of Minas Gerais.

History

The diocese Leopoldina was born on March 28, 1942 by Pope Pius XII. built with the apostolic constitution Quae ad majus from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Juiz de Fora and of the Archdiocese of Mariana. It was the Archdiocese of Mariana is a suffragan. On April 14, 1962, the diocese Leopoldina was the archbishopric of Juiz de Fora is a suffragan.
