The Diocese of Mar del Plata (lat.: Dioecesis Maris Platensis, Spanish: diócesis de Mar del Plata ) is a location in Argentina Roman Catholic diocese based in Mar del Plata.

History

The Diocese of Mar del Plata was posted on February 11, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. built out of territory of the Archdiocese of La Plata and of the Diocese of Bahia Blanca. On March 27, 1980, the Diocese of Mar del Plata were parts of its territory from the foundation of the diocese Chascomús. The Diocese of Mar del Plata is the Archdiocese of La Plata is a suffragan.
