Roman Catholic Diocese of Masaka

The Diocese of Masaka (Latin: Dioecesis Masakaensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Masaka, Uganda. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Kampala.

History

On 25 May 1939, was built from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Vicariate of Masaka Uganda. On March 25, 1953, the survey was conducted to the diocese, which was the Archdiocese of Rubaga assumed as suffragan. First bishop was the former Vicar Apostolic Joseph Kiwanuka.
