The Diocese of Montenegro (Latin: Dioecesis Nigromontanus ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Montenegro in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

History

The Diocese of Montenegro was on 2 July 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI. with the Apostolic Constitution Pastorali Nostra navitate built out of territory of the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre and this is a suffragan. First bishop was Paulo Antônio de Conto.
