Roman Catholic Diocese of Ndola

The Diocese of Ndola (Latin: Dioecesis Ndolaensis ) is a location in Zambia Roman Catholic diocese based in Ndola.

History

Pope Pius XI. founded the Apostolic Prefecture of Ndola on January 8, 1938 annexations of the Apostolic Prefecture of Broken Hill. On January 3, 1949, she was charged with the Apostolic Constitution Si in ALIQUA to the rank of Apostolic Vicariate.

On 9 April 1959, lost part of its territory to establish Apostolic Prefecture of Solwezi. On April 25 of the same year it was raised with the Bull Cum christiana fides to the diocese, the Archdiocese of Lusaka was the subordinate as suffragan. Since 1982, a partnership with the German diocese of Limburg.
