Roman Catholic Diocese of Obuasi

The Diocese of Obuasi (Latin: Dioecesis Obuasiensis ) is a location in Ghana Roman Catholic diocese based in Obuasi. It includes the districts of Obuasi, Amansie, Adansi and Bosomtwe - Atwima - Kwanwoma in the region Ashanti.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolicum opus on March 3, 1995, cessions of territory of the Diocese of Kumasi and it was the Archdiocese of Cape Coast assumed as suffragan.

On 22 December 2001, it was part of the ecclesiastical province of Kumasi.
