Roman Catholic Diocese of Osório

The Diocese of Osório (Latin: Dioecesis Osorienus ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Osório in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

History

The Diocese of Osório was established on 10 November 1999 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolicum supremi out of territory of the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre and the Diocese of Caxias do Sul. It was the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre is a suffragan.
