Roman Catholic Diocese of Ourinhos

The diocese Ourinhos (Latin: Dioecesis Parvauratanus ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Ourinhos in the state of São Paulo.

History

The diocese was erected Ourinhos on 30 December 1998 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius consulendum of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Botucatu and the bishoprics Assis and Itapeva. It was the Archdiocese of Botucatu is a suffragan. First bishop was Salvatore Paruzzo.
