Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth

The Diocese of Portsmouth (Latin: Portus Dioecesis Magni ) is a facility located in the United Kingdom, Roman Catholic diocese based in Portsmouth. It also includes the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey.

History

The Diocese of Portsmouth was founded on May 19, 1882 by Pope Leo XIII. built out of territory of the Diocese of Southwark. It is the Archdiocese of Southwark is a suffragan.
