Philip Egan

Philip Anthony Egan ( born November 14, 1955 in Altrincham, United Kingdom), Bishop of Portsmouth.

Life

Philip Anthony Egan received on 4 August 1984, the sacrament of Holy Orders and was incardinated in the Clergy of the Diocese of Shrewsbury.

On July 11, 2012 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. Bishop of Portsmouth. He received his episcopal consecration of Bishop Emeritus of Portsmouth, Crispian Hollis, on 24 September of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Shrewsbury, Mark Davies, and the Archbishop of Southwark, Peter David Smith.
