Roman Catholic Diocese of Posadas

The Diocese of Posadas (Latin: Dioecesis Posadensis, Spanish: diócesis de Posadas ) is a location in Argentina Roman Catholic diocese based in Posadas.

History

The Diocese of Posadas was born on February 11, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. built with the Papal Bull Quandoquidem adoranda out of territory of the diocese of Corrientes. On 16 June 1986, parts of the territory of the diocese were separated with the Papal Bull Abeunt alternative service to the founding of the Diocese of Puerto Iguazú. On 13 June 2009, the Diocese of Posadas were parts of its territory from the foundation of the diocese Oberá.

The Diocese of Posadas is the Archdiocese of Corrientes is a suffragan.
