Roman Catholic Diocese of Ruyigi

The Diocese of Ruyigi (Latin: Dioecesis Ruyigiensis ) is a location in Burundi Roman Catholic diocese based in Ruyigi.

History

The Diocese of Ruyigi was posted on April 13, 1973 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ex quo Christ out of territory of the Archdiocese of Gitega and Ngozi of the diocese and the Archdiocese of Gitega a suffragan. On 17 January 2009, the Diocese of Ruyigi were parts of its territory from the foundation of the diocese Rutana.
