Pope Pius XII. founded the Apostolic Vicariate of Ngozi on July 14, 1949, the Apostolic Vicariate of territory Urundi. With the bull Cum parvulum it was collected on 10 November 1959 in the rank of diocese, which was the Archdiocese of Gitega assumed as suffragan ..
