The diocese of Sulmona - Valva (Latin: Dioecesis Sulmonensis - Valvensis, Italian: Diocese of Sulmona - Valva ) is a located in Italy Roman Catholic diocese based in Sulmona.

History

The diocese of Sulmona - Valva was built in the 6th century as the Diocese of Sulmona. On 27 June 1818 the territory of the Diocese of valva was annexed to the diocese of Sulmona. The Diocese of valva and Sulmona was posted on August 15, 1972 by Pope Paul VI. assumed with the Apostolic Constitution Cum COGNITUM the Archdiocese of L'Aquila, suffragan. On September 30, 1986, the Diocese of valva and Sulmona was renamed Diocese of Sulmona - valva.
