Roman Catholic Diocese of Tzaneen

The Diocese of Tzaneen (Latin: Dioecesis Tzaneensis ) is a location in South Africa, Roman Catholic diocese based in Tzaneen.

History

Pope John XXIII. founded with the Apostolic Constitution Christ mandatum the Apostolic Prefecture of Louis Trichardt on December 27, 1962 from annexations of the Territorial Abbey Pietersburg.

On 16 November 1972 she got Paul VI. with the Apostolic Constitution Christ iussum to the diocese, which assumed the name Louis Trichardt - Tzaneen. On 18 July 1987, adopted the present name.
