Roman Catholic Diocese of Zhengzhou
The Diocese of Zhengzhou (Latin: Dioecesis Cemceuvensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Zhengzhou.
History
The Diocese of Zhengzhou was established on May 15, 1906, Pope Pius X made territorial concessions of the Apostolic Vicariate of Henan as Apostolic Prefecture of West Henan. The Prefecture Apostolic of Western Henan was raised by Pius X on May 2, 1911 Apostolic Vicariate. The Apostolic Vicariate of Western Henan was renamed on December 3, 1924 in Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengzhou. On May 25, 1929, the Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengzhou gave parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Prefecture of Luoyang.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengzhou was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Kaifeng is a suffragan.
