Roman Catholic Territorial Prelature of Tefé

The Territorialprälatur Tefé (Latin: Territorialis Praelatura Tefensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic Territorialprälatur based in Tefé in the state of Amazonas.

History

The Territorialprälatur Tefé was established on May 23, 1910, through Pope Pius X made ​​cessions of territory of the Diocese of the Amazon as Apostolic Prefecture Tefé. On May 22, 1931, the Apostolic Prefecture Tefé gave parts of their territory establishing the Territorialprälatur Juruá.

The Apostolic Prefecture Tefé was posted on August 11, 1950 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quum to Territorialprälatur and the Archdiocese of Manaus assumed as suffragan.
