Roman Inderst

Inderst ( born April 13, 1970) is a German economist. He is Chair of Finance and Economics at the House of Finance at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.

Life

Inderst earned a BA in European Business Administration at the ESB Reutlingen, an MA in Sociology at the University of Hagen and an MA in Economics at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He received his doctorate at the Free University of Berlin in 1998 and his habilitation in 2002 at the University of Mannheim. After spells as an assistant professor at the University of Mannheim, University College London and at the London School of Economics (LSE ) conducted research and taught at the French business school Insead and at the LSE, before he went to Frankfurt in 2006.

Work

Inderst is one of the strongest research economists in the German-speaking countries due to its extensive publication activities. In Handelsblatt economists ranking that analyzes the research output of economists in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland in terms of the quality of publications since 2004, he has regularly foremost places. The youngest economics ranking from the 2013 lists him in the category Current research achievements of the past five years in Tier 1 in the assessment of the life's work to Inderst is in 3rd place

Inderst is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
