Rombout Hogerbeets

Rombout Hogerbeets (* June 24, 1561 in Hoorn, † September 7, 1625 ) was a Dutch statesman.

Hogerbeets studied at Leiden University under Hugo Donellus jurisprudence. 1590 elected him the city government of suffering to her pensioner.

In 1619 he was because he was a political and religious ( Arminianism ) partisans of Johan van Oldenbarnevelt, along with its significant allies Hugo Grotius occupied by a life imprisonment at the fortress Loevestein. In 1625 Hogerbeets but was set by an act of grace back into the wild.
