Romeo Surdu

Romeo Constantin Surdu ( born January 12, 1984 in Rasnov, Brasov county ) is a Romanian football player. Since September 2013, the right winger plays for FC Braşov.

Career

Association

Surdu began his career at FC Braşov in Divizia A. On November 3, 2001, he made ​​his debut in Divizia A, when he played in the 0-1 win over Piatra Neamţ Ceahlăul. In 2005 he moved for about 450,000 euros to CFR Cluj. After two seasons, he moved in 2007 to about 1 million euros to Steaua Bucharest. On 12 November 2007 he made his debut for Steaua Bucharest when he was a substitute in a 0-0 draw against Pandurii Târgu Jiu for Vasilică Cristocea in 46 minutes. In 2008 he was loaned to FC Braşov. In 2009 he returned to Steaua Bucharest. At the end of the season 2010/11 he won with cup win his first title.

During the summer break, he joined local rivals Rapid Bucharest. With Rapid he closed the season 2011/12 from fourth place and qualified for the Europa League. At the same time he was again in the cup final, but it lost to Dinamo Bucharest 0-1. During the winter break of 2012/13 he left Romania and moved to Apollon Limassol in Cyprus. There he could win the Cypriot Cup 2013. Beginning of September 2013 he returned to Romania back to FC Braşov.

National

In 2009 Surdu played three games for the Romanian national football team. After two years of absence, he returned in June 2011 to the national selection and came in both the European Championship qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team as well as the South travel of the national team for use.
