The Romsdalsfjorden area in Romsdal Møre og Romsdal in Norway is 94 km long. The fjord extends from the vicinity of the island Tautra before Tomrefjord south to the island Otrøya, past the Julsund and on Tresfjord. At the height of the side arm Molde Molde Fjord between the peninsula and the islands Romsdalshalvøya branches off south of Molde. The Moldefiord passes east of Aarø in the Fannefjord between the Skålahalvøya and Romsdalshalvøya. The main arm extends on the south side of the island Sekken up to Åndalsnes, but a longer side arm Langfjord runs until after Eidsvåg and Eresfjord to the northeast.
