Ron Killings

Ronald "Ron" Killings ( born January 19, 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia ), better known by his stage name Ron "The Truth" Killings and R -Truth, is an American professional wrestler and rapper. Currently he is under contract with WWE and appears regularly in the TV shows.

Childhood and youth

Killings was born in Atlanta and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. During his time on the high school football played Killings, however, rejected a college scholarship because he preferred a career as a musician.

After leaving school at 16 was trying to be financed by drug trafficking a music career Killings. He was arrested and sentenced to 13 months in prison.

After he was free again, he took a normal job. Later, he met Jim Crockett, an employee of the National Wrestling Alliance. This convinced Killings after some time, to begin a career as a wrestler.

Career

1997 Killings debuted in the promotion Pro Wrestling Federation, where he was initially used only as a companion ring of different wrestlers, as he had received the gimmick of a manager. In 1999, Killings his active wrestling debut in the NWA Wildside, when he took under the ring name K- Crush. Here he won in December of the same year the newly formed NWA Wildside Television Championship.

World Wrestling Federation / Xtreme Pro Wrestling

2000 Killings signed a development contract for two years at the former World Wrestling Federation, where he was sent to the farm league Memphis Championship Wrestling. In April 2000, he won a battle royal for the vacant MCW Southern Heavyweight Championship, but this item lost in May to Jerry Lawler. From August to November Killings won the title again.

After a relatively short time in the MCW, he debuted in late 2000, until his partner suspended for drug problems in the main cadres of the WWF at the side of Road Dogg, with whom he for a short time formed a tag team. In February 2001 Killings won in a match against Raven WWF Hardcore title, but he lost it the same evening due to the then applicable 24/7-Regel. Two days later he won this title again, but lost him again the same evening. Killings was released from the WWF yet in 2001.

Started in 2002 Killings under the ring name K. Malik Shabazz short in Xtreme Pro Wrestling. He trained there with Salid Jihad and Raphael Muhammed, Stable The New Panthers. After a few matches Killings changed again the promotion, as he is now signed with NWA / TNA.

(NWA ), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

After June 2002, Killings was employed by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he first took up under the ring name K- Crush, before it was renamed due to a storyline in Ron "The Truth" Killings. In August 2002, he won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, which he lost after a few title matches.

From May 2003 he formed together with Konnan and BG James, Stable 3Live Kru. In November, she won the vacant NWA World Tag Team title in a match against Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger and Glenn Gilberti and held him until January 2004. In May 2004 Killings again won the NWA World Heavyweight Champion title in a " Four Way Title" Match against AJ Styles, Raven, and Chris Harris. In June, he lost the title in a " King of the Mountain " Match to Jeff Jarrett in November 2004 won Konnan and Killings as a tag team, the NWA World Tag Team Titles and held the title until December 2004. Subsequently, he completed various feud programs. From March to April 2006, in Killings along with AJ Styles and Rhino the Stable " Sting 's Warriors". After Killings formed a team with Lance Hoyt, but had to miss the end of 2006 due to injury.

Killings returned in June 2007 active back in the ring. After a few appearances in the Mexican Asistencia Asesoría y Administración, he joined in August again for TNA. Together with Adam "Pacman" Jones he won in September, the TNA Tag Team titles from Kurt Angle and Sting. In October 2007, they lost the title to Styles and Tomko.

During a tour of Japan Killings TNA was dismissed because it was not satisfied with his achievements in the promotion.

WWE

After seven years Killings returned in January 2008 back to World Wrestling Entertainment. The official WWE debut of Killings was on 29 August 2008, when he assumed under the new ring name R -Truth in the SmackDown roster.

The WWE Draft 2010 April 26, he was switched to RAW. On 24 May 2010 he won the WWE United States Championship in a match against The Miz, after the previous title holder Bret Hart gave the title voluntarily. But the U.S. title he lost 14 June 2010 back to The Miz in a match in which John Morrison and Zack Ryder were involved.

End of 2010 Killings coach and mentor NXT Rookie Johnny Curtis, who won the fourth season at the end. From 22 August to 21 November 2011, he formed an alliance with The Miz as The Awesome Truth. This broke because Killings was suspended on 22 November 2011 due to violation of the wellness policy of the WWE for 30 days.

On April 30, 2012, he won on RAW together with Kofi Kingston WWE Tag Team Championship from Primo and Epico. They lost the title at Night of Champions on September 16, 2012 to Daniel Bryan and Kane.
