Ron Perlman

Ronald Francis Perlman ( born April 13, 1950 in New York City ) is an American actor.

Life

After the Master of Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota Ron Perlman began to work at the theater. He took on his first role in the film industry, directed by Jean -Jacques Annaud in the award- winning film Quest for Fire was in 1981. In Germany he was in 1986 in The Name of the Rose acquainted with the role of the monk Salvatore on the novel by Umberto Eco. From 1987 he played three years, the Beast in the CBS television series produced by The Beauty and the Beast, for which he won a Golden Globe Award and was twice nominated for an Emmy.

In the 1990s he starred in Jean -Pierre Jeunet's films The City of Lost Children and Alien - The Rebirth, with whom he was well known internationally. Even in films by Guillermo del Toro Perlman is seen more often. For example, in Cronos, Blade II and the Hellboy comic book movies and Hellboy 2, in which he played the lead role in each case.

In addition, Perlman speaks roles for many computer games, as in the Fallout series, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, True Crime: Streets of LA, Icewind Dale or Halo 2 and 3, as well as some animated films and series.

From 2008 to 2013 Perlman played the role of Clay Morrow in the U.S. series Sons of Anarchy.

Ron Perlman is married to fashion designer Opal Stone since 14 February 1981. They have two children. The family lives in Los Angeles and at times in New York.

The German dubbing voice of Ron Perlman is Tilo Schmitz.
