Ron Taylor (actor)

Ron James Taylor ( born October 16, 1952 in Galveston, Texas, † January 16, 2002 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor and singer. In an off-Broadway production in 1982, he was the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors.

Taylor's film career began in 1983 in the movie Trading Places. He played supporting roles in many famous films and series such as Miami Vice and Matlock. In Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, he played in the episodes Melora and Playing God a Klingon chef. The Simpsons, he was spokesman for Bleeding Gums Murphy. After his death, the episode was dedicated to the sweet and sour margin.

As a singer he worked with Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Etta James together and others.

He died in 2002 of a heart attack.

Family

He was married in 1977 with singer Deborah Sharpe, with whom he had the son Adamah.
