Ronald Haworth

Ronald Haworth ( born March 10, 1901 in Lower Darwen, † 1973 in Blackburn) was an English footballer. The inside forward played for Blackburn Rovers, Hull City and Manchester United in the 1920 total of 63 games in the divisions of the Football League, scoring 17 goals.

Career

Haworth played in Blackburn for the team Sunday school, before he brought as an amateur by the Blackburn Rovers in the English top flight in March 1922. He acclimated there in no time and scored on the last match day of the season 1921/22, three goals in five games. After he was unable to repeat his goal tally in the following season (18 games / 4 goals), he came in his last year in Blackburn only two appearances in the first team and played for the reserve team otherwise in the Central League. In the summer of 1924, he then moved into the Second Division to Hull City, where he played but only in his first season on a regular basis.

In 1926, he was hired again in the First Division, at Manchester United, he came to the first two match days on the inside left position as the representative of Charlie Rennox used before he spent the rest of the season with the reserve team in the Central League. At the end of the season he left Manchester again and continued his career in the Lancashire Combination with FC Darwen continued.
