Roncalli is the title of a six-part ARD television series Günther Maria Halmer and Günter Lamprecht, which was produced from 1986 to 1987 in collaboration with Bernhard Paul and the artistes of real Circus Roncalli for ARD and first aired from 8 December 1986.

Content

Ringmaster Bruno Roncalli ( Günther Maria Halmer ) is facing financial ruin. His debts amounting to a quarter of a million mark threaten to burst the planned tour, as loan officers Kosinski ( Günter Lamprecht ) to recover the sum. However Roncalli may negotiate a final time, and uses this to begin the planned tour prematurely. Hastily leaving the "Circus Roncalli " his winter quarters in Cologne and breaks to Osnabrück on. Kosinski but can not get rid of and follows the circus to Hamburg to recover the arrears. As Roncalli mentioned already at the end, is the unwelcome loan officer for knight in shining armor. Kosinski sacrifices his own savings agreement in order to secure the continued existence of the circus company. And indeed, it goes with the "Circus Roncalli " uphill again.

Background

  • Many roles have been with real artists, mostly from the real Circus Roncalli, busy.
