Roof module

A roof module is a complete roof ( soft top or classic soft top or retractable hard top or split - retractable metal roof ), which is produced through specialized top manufacturers and the automotive industry (or their OEM) supplied. Then the final assembly of the Cabriolet at the vehicle manufacturer.

Depending on the severity of the historically grown production, contractual situation or dependent on the market demand and the job situation, the manufacturer may be as an OEM manufacturer of the entire vehicle top manufacturers such as Karmann, Heuliez or Pininfarina just then.

The Company Car Top Systems, Edscha and OASys, however, are pure hood and the roof module manufacturers who (eg Porsche) or the OEM (eg Valmet in Finland) deliver the manufacturers of roof systems.
