Rory Storm

Rory Storm ( born January 7, 1938September 27, 1972 ), actually Alan Caldwell, the frontman and singer of Liverpool band Rory Storm & the Hurricanes was.

In 1957, Caldwell, until then seller, a skiffle band. In March 1958, he opened the Morgue Skiffle Club, where the band played the area, including his own group Al Caldwell 's Texans and the Quarrymen, which later emerged the Beatles. Back in April of this year the club was closed by the police.

On April 30, 1958 Caldwell joined with his Texans on at Radio Luxembourg. The end of 1959, the band called Rory Storm & the Hurricanes. In 1960, the Hurricanes had their first lengthy commitment.
