Rosa Lobato de Faria
Rosa Maria de Bettencourt Rodrigues Lobato de Faria ( born April 20, 1932 in Lisbon, Portugal, † February 2nd 2010 same place ) was a Portuguese writer, television and film actress and songwriter.
Life
She came from the lower nobility Portuguese stemming from within the colonies and now no longer has any meaning.
She was a versatile, important for the Portuguese culture figure: she was a novelist, poet, lyric poet, but also as a screenwriter, composer and actress for the TV worked, and as an actress for the Portuguese film.
Many of the texts they wrote were written to fado and songs for the Euro Vision Song Contest, so for Sara Tavares ( Chamar a Musica, 1994), Celia Lawson ( Antes do Adeus, 1997), and Tó Cruz ( Baunilha e chocolate, 1995).
She was mother of 4 children and married twice, and was the mother of the famous musician and Fadistas Paulo de Carvalho.
On February 2, 2010 Rosa Lobato Faria died from the complications of severe anemia.
Some books have been translated into French, one ( Tears of Lucifer ) into German.
