Rosalie Gardiner Jones

Rosalie Gardiner Jones (* February 24, 1883; † February 1978) was an American women's rights activist from Oyster Bay ( New York). In the press, the organizer of various protest marches became known as " General Jones ".

Jones came from a wealthy home. The parents, Mary and Oliver Livingston Jones used to live in a New York City apartment on East 72nd Street and owned a summer house built in 1783 in the Cold Spring Road in Oyster Bay on Long Iceland. Jones attended Adelphi College, a girls' school in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Law School. At 28, she was involved in women's suffrage and joined the somewhat militant British suffragettes influenced, less the stronger mediating Suffragisten.

She was involved with Harriet Stanton Blatch and took, among others, leading position in 1913 held Suffrage Hikes part. From the time we took it over General originates.
