Rosario Gagliardi

Rosario Gagliardi (* 1698 in Syracuse, † 1762 in Noto ) was an Italian architect and one of the main representatives of the Sicilian Baroque.

He was mainly responsible, similar to Giovanni Battista Vaccarini in Catania, for the Baroque reconstruction of the city after the earthquake in Noto Val di Noto of 1693rd Other important buildings are located in Ragusa and Modica.

Gagliardi is often referred to as one of the original architects of the Sicilian Baroque.
