Rosemary Nicols

Rosemary Nicols, actually Rosemary Claxton ( born October 28, 1941 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England) is a British actress.

Life

Nicols had her first film role in the 1950 crime film The Blue Lamp with Dirk Bogarde in the lead roles. She studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama and played at various theaters in London, among other things, in a production of Fiddler on the Roof. In 1961 she had a small role in the war film The Guns of Navarone, then she has guest starred in several television series. She became well known in Britain mainly through her ​​starring role in the series Department S, which was produced 1969-1970 in 28 episodes. After the series ended, she appeared in a television adaptation of Ivan Turgenev's Fathers and Sons and had a recurring role in the soap opera General Hospital.

After her marriage with the author Frederick Mullally she retired in the late 1970s from acting in 1981, she was involved as co-producer on a television movie about the eruption of the volcano Mount St. Helens.
