Rosie Thomas (singer-songwriter)

Rosie Thomas is an American singer- songwriter from Seattle, Washington.

Life

She studied at the Cornish College of the Arts and toured in the late 1990s with the band Velour 100 before she opted for a solo career.

The record label Sub Pop became aware of it through their participation in the song " Parking Lot" by Damien Jurado's album Ghost of David and took it in 2000 under contract. Their debut album, When We Were Small was released on 22 January 2001. On the album played Eric Fisher ( the Rosie Thomas on performance art school in Seattle met ) guitar and keyboards and Andy Myers drums. The two were also represented on the following album Only with Laughter Can You Win ( 2003).

Their third album, If Songs Could Be Held, she published in 2005. Moreover, they performed under the name Sheila Saputo on as a stand- up comedian. In March 2006, she was invited by the indie rock label Paper Bag Records from Toronto, with its title "Faith 's Silver Elephant " on the compilation See You on the Moon! to participate.

In April 2006, Pitchfork reported incorrectly that Rosie Thomas and American musician Sufjan Stevens had a child together, but were forced to publish a correction. Denison Witmer and Rosie Thomas admitted later that there had been an April Fool's joke. Their album thesis Friends of Mine was released on 12 December 2006. On his many songs can be found with the participation of Sufjan Stevens.
