Rothmann (crater)

Rothmann is an impact crater on the lunar front side southwest of Mare Nectaris, southwest of the crater Piccolomini and northeast of Lindenau, west of the Rupes Altai. The rim is irregularly shaped and slightly eroded, the interior is uneven and has concentric structures.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German mathematician and astronomer Christoph Rothmann.
