The Ruta 6, named after Dr. Juan León Mallorquín, is a trunk road in Paraguay. As a north-south connection leads to a length of 247 kilometers through the southeast of the country of Encarnación by Minga guazú.

Street Description

The Ruta 6 begins in the city of Encarnación near the Argentine border. The road runs more or less parallel to the border with Argentina, which is formed by the Río Paraná. There are settled very few places along the route. The road continues north through an undulating hilly landscape with farmland and ends near Minga guazú at an intersection with the Route 7, west of the town of Ciudad del Este.

History

The street is traditionally a regional connection, but with the increase in international trade in the Mercosur in the 1990s, the importance of Ruta 6 increased since the parallel route is not paved by Argentina in the province of Misiones.
